HFHA Temporarily Suspends Working Directly with MOST Tenants

HFHA HAS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED WORKING WITH MOST TENANTS DIRECTLY.

Until further notice, Hoboken Fair Housing Association is offering only very limited assistance, advice or guidance to anyone who calls or e-mails HFHA for help with tenant-landlord issues.

If you want a callback or a return email, you MUST join HFHA first.

WE CAN ONLY HELP TENANTS WHO JOIN HFHA BY DONATING $30.

We cannot currently respond to calls or messages to ANYONE ELSE asking for tenant assistance. You must at least make a donation of $30 which is our membership fee.

For now, we would refer you to the Hoboken Rent Leveling and Stabilization Office: 201-420-2396 or 201-420-2062, Hours: M-F, 9 am to 4 pm. The officer is Suzanne Hetman. You can e-mail her at: shetman@hobokennj.gov

You may want to contact your councilperson as well.

We would also refer you to the Hoboken Tenant Advocate, Andrew Sobel, who can be reached at 973-874-5545 or by emailing mwright@sobelhan.com. We make no guarantees as to his services.

If you need an attorney, here are some who have helped Hoboken tenants in the past. We make no guarantees as to any of their services, and we don’t recommend any one of them over any other:
